Downingtown Area CROP Walk
“Help in the Fight Against Hunger”
Join the Beth Chaim team!
This is the 29th annual Downingtown Area CROP Walk and Beth Chaim’s 1st year. We can help in the fight against hunger. How? One step at a time. Take that next step by participating in the upcoming CROP Walk! Join with hundreds of caring friends and neighbors from our local community in a fundraising walk to help in the fight against hunger.
4.5 mile walk goes along the paved Struble Trail in Downingtown.
Walkers of all ages are encouraged to participate. Refreshments are served after the walk.
75% of funds raised support the global hunger work of the global hunger agency of your choice. Beth Chaim’s agency is MAZON.
25% of the total donations are divided equally among five local food cupboards: the Lord's Pantry in Downingtown; the People's Pantry at Church Road in Frazer; the Salvation Army in West Chester; the Honey Brook Mobile Food Bank; and the CYWA food program in Coatesville.
Statistics of those who suffer from hunger are staggering:

In 2013, 49.1 million Americans lived in food insecure households, including 33.3 million adults and 15.8 million children (Feeding America).
There are more than 70,000 food-insecure households in Chester County. (C.C. Food Bank.)
