A three-part workshop entitled “Racism…Power...Privilege... Poison and Promising Possibilities.”
Participants will delve into America’s history with respect to ethnicity. They will engage in exercises which explore questions such as How Did We Get Here? Is it Over? And What can be Done? Individuals will be challenged. There will be opportunities for introspection and reflection. People will leave the workshop with knowledge and tools to help cleans the toxins that have resulted from systemic racism.
Anita Friday will be conducting the workshop. She is a local speaker and founder of Open Hearts a Path for Racial Healing. Her work addresses racism, stereotypes and the need for our communities to strengthen relationships across color lines, to engage in difficult conversations and to work together to eradicate the sin of racism.
The workshop will take place January 15th, 22nd and 29th from 6pm-9pm at Beth Chaim Reformed Congregation 389 Connestoga Rd. Malvern, PA.
The fee for the workshop is $150. Given the nature of the workshop participation is limited to 15 attendees.
