Social Action Safe Harbor Lunch

The Social Action committee is pleased to announce that on Sunday morning, February 26, we will be preparing and serving a hot lunch to the 40 residents—20 men and 20 women—of the Safe Harbor shelter in West Chester.  In order to be able to provide this community service we are seeking help from the Beth Chaim community.  Specifically, we will need four men and at least two women to help serve the meals to the residents at the shelter.  In addition we will need 1) around six to eight crock pots of either chili (This will be the morning after the Beth Chaim Chili Fest at the synagogue, so any extra chili that can be made will be ideal) or meatballs and 2) enough salad or cut-up vegetables, rolls, desserts and drinks for around 40 people.  This is the second annual lunch preparation and delivery effort on the part of the committee to Safe Harbor and we’re looking forward to successful and meaningful morning.  If you are able to help out with either food preparation, delivery and/or serving please contact Judi Ivins at 610-696-5622.
