Services
Under the guidance of Rabbi Aileen Hollander, our services combine the traditional beauty of Judaism with a forward-looking approach to our religion as practiced today. Beth Chaim’s approach to Jewish life is inspired by Jewish history and tradition, yet informed by contemporary Reform Judaism. There is a very personal feeling as members of the congregation, including the children, take an active part in each service.
We hold High Holiday services and Shabbat services. In addition, we celebrate other holidays, including Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Chanukah, Purim and Passover, with a variety of services and parties. We also provide for full life cycle ceremonies, including naming ceremonies, Brit Milah (Bris), Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, confirmations, weddings and funerals.
"Judaism challenges us to change the world for the better - to repair the world. Yet we can only do this when we are securely rooted in a Jewish community through study and prayer. Worship at Beth Chaim Reform Congregation brings us in touch with our ancient roots, to ground us firmly in the present, so that we can prepare wisely for the future, and change our world for the better."
