Torah Study

We meet on Saturday mornings via Zoom.

We begin with a brief participatory service, mostly in English. Our volunteer lay leader provides a summary of the parsha for the week, as well as questions for us to contemplate.

Participation in the service or discussion is voluntary; you are free to just be present and listen.

We currently have a rotation of volunteer lay leaders, but any participant can sign up in advance for a specific parsha and to lead the discussion.

Discussions are always wide-ranging, eye-opening, and spirited. Debate is respectful. And while we may reference traditional commentaries, we also keep discussions focused on our own personal modern interpretations relating what we learn from the stories in Torah to our own unique perspectives.

No experience is required to join the group. You can read the parsha ahead of time, or not.

This is not your grandfather’s Torah Study!

Inquiring minds are always welcomed!
