Inspire

  • Rabbi

Rabbi Michelle Pearlman is the glue of our congregation. Members join Beth Chaim because of her magnetism, wisdom, approachability, sharp intellect, ability to deeply care, and propensity to work (and overwork) to make our congregation a sacred place. Beth Chaim faces challenges and has risen to every crisis because of her insistence on showing up with ruach (spirit) and integrity. She has helped us enhance BCRC as a place of learning, where we weave Judaism, our civil duties, social justice, and our Jewish values together and apply them to everything we do. Rabbi Pearlman has helped us understand the importance of participating routinely within the Reform Movement's more extensive world. She has helped us become who we are now and helps us keep visioning for an even better future within our neighborhood and beyond.

She would love to meet you in person!

Spread Joy

  • Cantorial Singer

Denise Moser has been the guitar-playing Cantorial Singer at Beth Chaim for fifteen years. It started with "Ani Maamin". The synagogue’s former rabbi, Rabbi Marjorie Yudkin, was looking for someone to sing this piece during a Holocaust Remembrance Day service, and a colleague recommended Denise. A spark was lit that day, and over the years the relationship between Denise and the congregation has expanded and deepened.

Denise sings our Shabbat evening and High Holiday services. She has written music that has become part of our Shabbat experience, as well as a song for the building of our beautiful Synagogue. She leads and treasures our choir, and is immensely proud of them. Denise is hired by bar/bat mitzvah families to sing during their special services.

Denise is also a singer/songwriter, creative writing workshop facilitator, and writer of custom songs for others that reflect what is in their hearts. Songs from her two CDs, Bright Side Up and Here Right Now, have been played on over eighty radio stations, including WXPN in Philadelphia. She is currently writing for her third album of original contemporary folk music. She would love for you to visit her website:

Connect

  • Executive Administrator

Robin Resnick is the connector, the doer, and the core of Beth Chaim. she is the first face and voice that visitors, members, and contractors will interact with at Beth Chaim. Without Robin, we would be full of great ideas but none of them would come to fruition. She is the multitasking superwoman who keeps us organized and keeps us on task. On top of all of that, she is kind, smart, eager, a fast learner, generous, and fun to be around!
